2010 Positional Analysis
Since the departure of Danny Wimprine, University of Memphis quarterbacks have struggled with consistency like no other position on the team. Could that change in 2010? Well, if Memphis is to return to the bowl picture in Larry Porter’s first year as head coach, the Tigers’ quarterbacks will have to play a major role. Tyler Bass exited spring taking most of the first-team reps and likely opens fall under center. The progression of Class of 2010 signee Andy Summerlin, however, will be closely watched after an injury early in spring practices.
